Well made with cute art and solid mechanics. Great variety modifiers to vary runs.

Lots of Wordy Fun To Be Had Here
I would have to say I’m enjoying, Scriver, a decent amount so far. I’ve found the it to be a charming, colorful, aesthetically pleasing and at times a quite challenging word game. Which, my interest is always piqued if it’s a word game. I would definitely add Scriver pretty high on my list of great games that are worth your time in this genre. It took me a second to understand how all of the art pieces and different bonuses worked in Scriver. But, if you just play a few rounds I think and read all of the descriptions. Well, most of the upgrades became quite clear to me after doing that for a bit. Some of the critics’s (like bosses in the game) restrictions in the game can be very challenging. Especially when they make it so every odd letter cannot be scored. Yet, as I said that just adds to the challenge I believe and makes you have to focus and think a lot harder in trying to win that round. You have 4 discards per round, unless a bonus you obtain gives you more. Which, in the beginning I completely failed at even noticing I had the ability to discard letters, haha. Coming from, Birdigo, which is another great word game that came out recently and that I also recommend. Well, I should have noticed the discards a lot quicker and used them 😛. The only puzzling thing about this game that I don’t fully understand as of yet, and this problem may be my issue and not the game. Is how Scriver is a “roguelike” deckbuilder word game? Is it because once you open up new pieces of artwork/bonuses that they are then added to your overall pool of them when you fail and start a new game? Because my understanding of “roguelike” was usually a game where you might fail and have to start over often. Yet, during your gameplay you unlocked new features, bonuses, abilities etc. that carried over into your new start of the game when you did fail. Is what I said above why Scriver was touted as a roguelike video game? Oh, well, even if that isn’t the reason this game is a roguelike, it really does not matter a lot so long as I am having fun. Which, as I said, I am very much having a lot of fun. Many thanks to the developer on creating and offering such an enjoyable word game in my opinion. Plus, there are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or other underhanded nonsense for the player to contend with here and I’m always most thankful and appreciative of that thoughtfulness. I would definitely recommend playing Scriver if you’re a word game fan or just like a nice relaxing and puzzling time to relax to. Thanks, again, to the developer for this game and God bless. Played on: iPhone 13 Pro Max iOS 26.5

Really good! (Please add “haptics off” choice in settings though.)
I really, really like the vibe of this game and the way it plays. I’ve played several similar games, but I just love the art design and concept here, and the playful yet thinky vibe. I like that there are different ways to build. If you want to play short words you can, but if you wanted to really challenge yourself you could build around trying for longer words. Lots of options here. I haven’t won yet (got close though), but I’ll keep trying. I appreciate the fair premium price with no ads or unfair IAP and no data collection. I applaud developers who do this right. Great job on all the art, too, really cool design overall. One request: Would you consider adding a haptics off option in settings? I always turn off all effects, partly to save battery, and I prefer not to have the effects, especially haptics. Anyway, give this game a try, it really is enjoyable. Thank you developer!

The best word game on iOS
Balatro meets a word builder. Sooooo good. This idea is amazing and the execution is so solid. Some of the text was confusing at first, but I was able to get the hang of it quickly. 10/10

Fun and addicting!
This is like scrabble on steroids! It appears to be an easy word game on the surface but then as you dig deeper into the different possibilities of maximizing your points, it gets really interesting! I think this game could appeal to all ages and levels of interest in terms of how strategic you want to get with the game. Highly recommend!

Fun new take on scrabble
Love that it’s fun for all ages. Instructions are easy to follow. More engaging than other brain teasers with fun graphics

Buggy
I’ve been playing for under 24 hrs and keep getting a bug where I get either 1 letter (which I can discard it and get a full hand) or 0 letters (which I can’t do anything about). It’s very frustrating because the game is good otherwise. Edit: next day I can’t complete even a single run without a game breaking bug….

Fun but keeps crashing
The game seems pretty fun, but it keeps crashing randomly mid game. Hopefully you can get It patched soon.

Has potential
Fun game but needs polish. I’ve played and enjoyed similar games but ran into a bug my very first round. I had a quest to sell X gold worth of art to be able to play letters but that was more than I had even after selling everything. The game didn’t recognize this as a stalemate / can’t proceed state. So I had to exit to the menu to start a new game. That plus other QOL improvements like a “return all letters to hand” button would go a long way to making this game a 5 star for me!
