I enjoy the game, but in the last couple months (minimum), they’ve started having ads that are so intrusive, they open the App Store and/or web pages without any human interaction with the screen. I can set my phone down for a moment, come back, and web pages/App Store are open, *even when a different ad is playing at the moment.* I don’t know what has changed, but I’m about ready to toss this game in the trash because of how annoying this is. Since there is no paid/ad-free version, I’m fine with those banner ads at the bottom, but for god’s sake, STOP OPENING OTHER PAGES!! 🤬🤬🤬 I’m only giving two stars, even though I really like the puzzles, and I’ll change that if they’ll just fix the problem they’ve created!!

When you’re in the middle of the game, it automatically opened your Safari to send you to a website for an ad. Game ads are one thing but to take you out into another whole app is not right

Be wary of this game. While I am playing it, the game randomly redirects to my Web browser, and whatever ad they are displaying appears on my web browser. It is very invasive!! I thought I might be randomly touching something to take me to the advertised product in my browser, but no! Like I said, VERY INVASIVE

This game relaxes me. I play it every evening to calm down before bed. Try it, you’ll love too!!!

This automated browser invocation occurs exclusively during SHEIN banner impressions, executing at stochastic intervals varying between 5 and 60 seconds and, often multiple times during a single banner placement window. Public reviews have documented this precise telemetry failure for weeks absent developer remediation. Application update 1.1.8 did not address this issue. *Updated review to reflect one star rating —————— I get it, ads are to be expected in free games. Banners - fine. Autoplay after every couple of games/boards - the frequency is annoying, but sure. But, one brand launching itself into a new external browser tab at seemingly frenetic intervals in the middle of gameplay - beyond the pale. If I click on an ad —intentionally or otherwise— and it takes me out of the game and to their website, that’s on me, I sent me there. If your devs code that action into the app, that’s on you, you sent me there - exactly nobody wants to deal with that, and y’all know that. It’s an ad-supported free game. It’s a pretty darn enjoyable one, too. Really, it is. But, it’s still just an ad-supported free game. And, as good as it is, every ounce of enjoyment is evaporated by this SHEIN foolery. Three stars for an otherwise five-star app. If y’all remove —not “I have a better idea” fix— the SHEIN thing, it’s back to the five-star rating it deserves.

It has become ridiculous for the pop up ads that send you to a website for the advertiser. It happens multiple times DURING each puzzle.

This game is really great, but recently the ads have gotten a lot worse. Every time a specific company’s ad comes up it forces me out of the game without me ever clicking on it. Please fix because currently it’s not worth opening to even play the daily puzzle

Name is so relaxing when I’m stressed. I’ll just go to this game and do puzzles. It’s so relaxing. Y’all need to get this game.

It opens ads in my browser with me clicking anything

The puzzles were on for a long time. But recently, all my Gamin’Cat games have gone too far. Instead of regular ads, the game takes control of my phone and opens my browser, then takes me to a website without my permission!! A website I would never visit. Has to delete game.

Loved this app but deleted it when forced ads started launching web links to Shein. I would have considered paying to have the ads removed but that’s not available. Easy choice to delete.

I love the game but the ads are ridiculous. I would probably pay for a no ad option. Also, the pictures seem to be used more than once.

I really like this game but lately every time I play I keep getting sent to a website for shein. I've never used them for anything so I'm not sure why it's doing this but I would love if it stopped.

I enjoyed the app for the first month or so. There were obviously video ads between puzzles and banner ads at the bottom of the puzzle while playing. I thought that was a fair trade for playing for free. They then put SHEIN banner ads on the bottom of the puzzle that opened while playing without you pushing. That was unacceptable to me. After it happened 5-6 times (always SHEIN ads so this was not me accidentally pushing) I deleted the app.

Shein pop ups continue to interrupt my game. Until Shein ads are gone, the one star rating will remain although this is one of my favorite games

I love this game and play it often, but all of a sudden, without touching the ad at the bottom of the screen, it opens an ad in the middle of a game. Sometimes anywhere from 3-4 times in a game.

I will be playing and suddenly I will be taken to Schein add page. This is not just an ad, this is having my game grabbed and forced to another page. During the middle of the game and not just having to spend time being sold something. I don’t like it and don’t need to play a silly little game because of it.

I will absolutely never pay to remove ads from a game; I’ll just force close it and reopen. But this incessant attempt to force shein downloads is absolutely insufferable and is instead making me want to delete the app

I want to make clear that I really do like playing the game. What I don’t like is for one of their ads to forcibly open my browser without my consent. Don’t get me wrong I understand the need for ads, but again I TOUCHED nothing to open SHEIN in my browser and it still did! So bye app and a warning for anyone else

I’ve had this app for almost a year and have really enjoyed it. It’s had ads, which I understand are necessary to keep it free, but recently the ads have become annoyingly intrusive, one in particular when it pops up takes me away from the fun by opening up my web browser, forcing me to have to close it. It’s unfortunately becoming too much of an annoyance that I’m deleting the app, which I’m really disappointed that it has come to this.

This game may be free; however, after every puzzle there is an ad that you have to sit through. Many of them transport you to other programs to purchase wares…not worth it!!! Super annoying!!!

This game used to be fun and i’ve played thousands of puzzles. I can deal with adds between puzzles, but now ads open automatically and take you out of the app during game play. Too annoying to play now.

Right in the middle of the game, while you’re playing, it just switches to Safari and an ad for Shein as if you had clicked on the ad in the game. Really annoying. Would’ve given five stars if it wasn’t that

Since the upgrade, while you’re in the middle of doing a puzzle, it takes you to the Shein website. This is not the ad following the puzzle, but right in the middle of play. I used to love this app, but this interrupts play and adds an unwanted website to your browser. Unless it’s fixed, I will delete the app.
