The songs that my kids want to play are buried behind songs they have no interest in playing. There doesn’t seem to be another way to get to the songs they’re interested in (the real songs, Beatles, Taylor etc.) so this might just be an app that never gets used unfortunately.

Running the latest version of the app on new and fully updated devices (both iPad and iPhone). When I first download the app and log in, the app works one time. But as soon as I attempt to switch from one child’s profile to the other’s, the app immediately crashes. Every time thereafter, the app crashes on the load screen. Why?? Unusable.

Guitar app is good for beginners and if you’re watching the guitar show just to say if you have a six string pro the guitar show has a free string and I would rate it a four star but sometimes when you tune, it doesn’t sound right like the strings are too loose

Well designed app but my son gets discouraged because the microphone that picks up notes is terrible. This needs to be addressed before I resubscribe.

This app is so amazing it is helping me improve

The tuner is buggy. Playing pure tones from garage band right into it and it won’t recognize until a random 60-300second timeout. Then it says the note is perfectly in tune. Image how frustrating it is for a child learning to play when the app randomly decides to stop listening.

It’s the best guitar app ever for starters!

Frustrating to use because it just stops working. I’m trying to tune my kids guitar - it doesn’t respond to what I’m doing at all and jumps up and down the line. I thought it was my mic, so I used a different device. Same problem.

My son just lost all of his progress and unlocks because the app stopped accepting his credentials. Customer support’s only suggestion was that we create a new account. This was after spending hours on the phone with them. no consideration for the failure of their app. Not a month free, nothing. It’s a decent app and we’ve been having fun with it, but I’m now very nervous about it and look forward to my son being able to move onto a normal guitar and not having to rely on this.

There are like 8 songs where it dosent pick up anything you play and also for some reason like 2 months in it just stopped working because when I try to go in it just crashes so I can’t even get in

Hey it is a little hard for me to understand the song playing and it doesn’t really listen to what I I’m strumming it doesn’t really like help and I need it to be a little more easier because I’m a beginner and I don’t want ads that make me get more and I just don’t like it that much but I did a four rating because I like it, but I also need some changes

Good app for kids

Great app. My kid loves to tune her guitar and follow along with the songs. Some features could work better- sometimes when you play along with the band it doesn’t recognize that you’ve played the note/chord. But overall super cool for kids and even adults (I’m also pretty obsessed with and created my own profile so it doesn’t interfere with my kid’s progress).

Loog is great practice for my kids. And me!

Mostly good. The play with the band needs work (why 4 stars). Kids clearly hit notes and it says miss. Otherwise great app. Kids love it!

Got our 4-year-old the Loog mini acoustic guitar for her birthday. The content on this app is cool except for one massive and totally frustrating flaw: the app’s note recognition capabilities are abysmal such that it does not accurately recognize the notes being played so it records notes and chords as “misses” even when they are played flawlessly. This causes a lot of frustration for a little kid who can’t advance in lessons or to new songs because the app’s note recognition is crumby. You’d expect better from Loog.

Super frustrating for my 7 year old, unless they fix the app soon I’ll be returning the guitar. The app will miss a played note or hear itself and say you played early. Instead of finding a love for music he’s getting discouraged which is a huge bummer. The guitar is nice, the app looks great and we were both so excited - please get this fixed ASAP

The guitar is great!! Love the concept but the app doesn’t work well. It cannot hear when we are playing the chords and it triggers itself when the song is playing rather than listening to what we are playing. Definitely needs some work.

The app rarely hears the notes being played. It will act like a note isn’t played giving my child inconsistent feedback on her progress- confusing her more than helping her. I tried and it was just as bad even though I’ve played for years. The idea is brilliant but the execution does the exact opposite of the intended purpose.

Bought this along with the Pro VI electric guitar for my 8 year old. This app is worthless for a true beginner—as other reviewers mentioned, the tuner doesn’t work at all, the microphone technology doesn’t “hear” the actual playing, the app constantly glitches and freezes, and the interface doesn’t do a good job of explaining anything to an actual beginner. I found another guitar app that is actually what we need for a beginner so the money I spent on this “lifetime pass” was a complete waste. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Day after Christmas, bought pass, tried to log in and login button is continuously grayed out. No support. Pointed to ai chatbot which is useless. Guessing update 3 days ago broke it Might want to work on your release testing.

This is helping me learn, and it’s a good app! While sometimes being a little frustrating and annoying, it’s extremely helpful!
