I played MTG and this gives me a similar play game play without having to constantly sink more money into it and offers a wide variety of strategies and loads of fun for way cheaper.

This game is truly amazing, and it has kept me entertained for hours. The variety of cards and the way RPG elements are combined with the roguelike genre is a fantastic idea. I’m genuinely looking forward to more content.It would also be great if you could add more free content in the future. However, I feel that a few elements are still missing. In my opinion, the biggest one is a minimap or some kind of map. Without one, it can be quite confusing, and it’s difficult to get a sense of which part of each region you’re currently in. Maybe other players feel the same way. I would really appreciate it if the development team could consider addressing this issue. Thank you!

I used to play Hearthstone and MTG, but got tired of throwing money at it, having to mostly play online, etc. I wanted a solid deck builder and stumbled on Dawncaster a few months ago. I probably have sunk 200 hours in by this point while waiting here and there. No need for connectivity. The gameplay loop itself is pretty good and you can have a lot of fun figuring out which classes work best for what, and subtypes of those classes. Crazy card combinations about. All in all, one of my top 5 mobile games of all time!

Seemed fun at first, then you see ceetain mechanics are just poorly thought out and make the game take too damn long. Both thumbs way way down, amateur.

I have probably 300 hours in this game. It’s absolutely amazing. It gives way more variety of play and experimentation than other similar games. And I personally feel that the art on this game is the best out there. Developers are active and listen to feedback. I can’t wait to see what else they do. Either way, I love Dawncaster!

After months of playing this game I keep coming back to it. It offers a huge variety of play styles, tons of unique hidden interactions within the dialogue, and a wonderful community that helps even the most novice of players. On the financial side I also think the developers are truly looking out for the common man as they give access to every card expansion with the base game. That means the only reason you would buy the DLC is because, like me, you adore this game and want even more enemies and stories. I can’t recommend this game enough. Very well made and very well maintained with a live bug chat in the discord.

Great game, but only 4 stars for the lack of descriptions on keywords. While most of them have them, some do not. This means you have to back out the match to look it up. Other than that, well worth the money.

Hello, developer. How is the progress of Chinese localization development? There are still some parts that have not been translated during the game.

I don’t often write reviews, but I figured I needed to do one for this game because I thought it was awesome. Very much. Reminds me of like slay the spire or you know like a single player Hearthstone type of thing I did get a little boring after a while if you’ve gone through and beaten, a lot of things of different builds, but all in all pretty amazing game.

A lot of character choices and build options, but only one campaign path comes with your purchase- there are 14 packages for sale at an average of $4.99.

Great gameplay with a lot of variety and replayability. Previously I felt the game had some balance issues but over time that has smoothed out. And I would only notice those issues because I actually enjoy playing the game. Highly recommended

This is by far my favorite rougelike deck builder. I have played this longer than slay the spire, monster train… all of em. I love dawncasters.

Style. Carefully crafted cards. Decisions that have lasting consequences. Great story telling.

The game itself cost and then you have to buy all the extra dlc which is more than $40 in my area which they don’t release free content

Most mobile games are slop and a hard pass, but this one is actually a good enough card game to merit a physical release

Been playing on and off since 2022, every time I come back it seems like there’s something new and improved, definitely my favorite card game on mobile atm, keep up the good work guys, look forward to the future

The biggest problem of Chinese translation now is the confusion of translation, especially keywords. There will be multiple translations for the same keywords. Secondly, the translation is not accurate. Finally, the translation is missing. I hope it can be improved.

This gem will provide hours of fun for fans of this genre! I enjoy the many different paths offered. Choices made in the story can largely impact the rest of your game. Cards are extremely plentiful, and you can even customize your runs quite a bit too. If I stop playing this game for any amount of time it’s only because I’ve thoroughly enjoyed new content, which btw released often. Two thumbs up!

There's so much to say about this game. Firstly, I'm sort of a casual gamer, so most games don't really stick. I'll play them for a bit, stop, and just never really finish. It took me a bit to understand how to play this game, because while I do enjoy RPGs, roguelikes, and card games, I've never played a battle card game with RPG story and concepts. Translating things like armor and potions and weapons to cards took time to make sense coming from an RPG background. This is the first deckbuilder I've ever played because most are inaccessible to the blind. Now that I've managed to finish the main game several times, I've come to appreciate how playing different classes changes the way you fight and which cards would be useful. I also like the ability to choose talents each time you level, which again depends on your class, your weapon, and innate advantages. I like being able to purchase rewards with fateshards that make runs flow better the more you play any particular class. It encourages replays ensures that even if you don't make it all the way to the end of the story, you can still unlock something. It's nice to have Story Mode, though I never played it because I was determined to figure out how to survive. I love that you can choose to be evil or good or just anything in between, and story choices reflect that. Being able to play cards designed for any class makes for interesting strategy combinations. The shrines are very handy for modifying important cards or gaining duplicates. I even love that the pictures are described for blind players. There was a bit of a learning curve for me with this game, but it's one of my favorites. I love the sound effects and that the same info sighted people get is read by the screen reader. It's self-voicing, or you can use VO. I love that thought went into the storyline, characters, world building, and that classes feel coherent from an RPG perspective. They work the way they do in keeping with an RPG, which believes in them as "real" entities. So the game becomes immersive and feels alive because the story and mechanics maintain an internal logic. This is a quality game and I'm so glad I gave it a try.

I don’t leave many reviews. I’d like to say that upfront, but this has been a fantastic game and I’ve sunk dozens of hours into without realizing it. It has all the complexity of a rogue, light deck builder, with the polish of something that deserves a lot more praise. There is so much content, both for free and for cheap, that it’s dizzying. And I’m still finding new builds. If you like Slay the Spire, you’re doing a disservice to not play this game.
