Good for booking hotels
Some things are a bit misleading regarding prices and cancellation procedures. I wouldn’t book flights through them. Booking hotels seems to be fine.

비행기 악천후 결항으로 호텔 취소환불도 안해주고 하루종일 연락준다 기다려달라얘기하고 6만원을 트립코인을 준다더니 나중엔 7만원준다하고 하루숙박요금만돌려받고퉁치자고 어찌나 열이받는지

My disappointed experience with trip.com

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from both Copa Airlines and Trip.com.
My international flight was scheduled to depart at 7:48 AM, and I arrived at Orlando International Airport (Terminal C) at 5:32 AM, more than two hours before departure. I have an Uber receipt confirming my arrival time.
Despite arriving early, I could not find a Copa Airlines representative to assist me with check-in or provide accurate information. I asked the airport’s VIP customer service desk for help, but they simply directed me to TSA instead of helping me find the correct check-in counter.
Because I couldn’t get the assistance I needed, I missed my flight.
When I contacted Trip.com and Copa Airlines to find a solution, I was told that the only way to travel was to pay approximately $400 per person in additional charges to be placed on another flight. Since we were traveling as a group, this would have cost us thousands of dollars on top of what we had already paid for our tickets.
I understand that airlines have fare rules, but I expected better customer service and more reasonable options, especially after arriving at the airport with enough time before departure.
Please be aware: If you book through a third-party website like Trip.com, make sure you fully understand the fare rules before purchasing. In my experience, if something goes wrong, changing your flight can be extremely expensive, and you may not receive the support you expect.
This experience was stressful, frustrating, and very costly. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend either Trip.com or Copa Airlines.

“ I could have paid directly to the hotel and save myself $120 and the run around”
I booked a hotel for a few days through this company. The voucher they sent me after I had booked said I would only owe the hotel a few dollars ($17) for taxes/fees. Hotel never got the money from this company so they ended up charging me directly for the full price ($600+ for the room including parking). If I hadn’t been tracking my expenses I would have missed the double charge. When I filed a dispute with this company, they gave me the run around for about two weeks then told me the $600+ they charged me did not include parking and they would only reimburse me my money less about $120 for parking. Why would it’s cost about the same for booking with this company and paying at the hotel directly when booking through this company dose not include the parking. I’m guessing that’s how they get their cut, make like they are giving you a good deal, then tell you later that parking was not include, betting on you never actually knowing how much it would have really cost you if you book directly with the hotels. Could have just payed directly at the hotel and save myself $120. What a rip off!

Unacceptable
There was a gate change to my flight. The airport was also at fault for not announcing it over the intercom. But since the app didn’t update I was not made aware of the gate change or that my flight was moved up and showed up early. So my flight left without me and now I have to wait 3 hours for the next one. I have a 6 month old in toe. This is unacceptable

Terrible experience with Trip.com. The website claims to accept multiple payment methods, but none of them actually work. I tried six different valid U.S. cards, and all were rejected. PayPal is listed but not available.
Customer service was unhelpful and never followed up as promised. After several days, the issue was still unresolved.

作为在全球消费数万元的老会员，我多次向其客服和高级专员反馈此问题。令人震惊的是，官方给出的答复极其傲慢。他们声称“因为平台主要面向海外用户，所以不提供简体”，并理直气壮地驱逐用户，要求习惯使用简体的海外用户去使用中国大陆版的携程软件。
这种逻辑极其荒谬。新加坡、马来西亚乃至欧美有着数千万使用简体中文的海外华人和留学生，在 Trip.com 眼里居然被开除了“海外用户”的籍。相比之下，Booking 和 Agoda 等真正国际化的巨头全都完美支持简体中文。
技术上毫无门槛，商店页面虚假标注骗取下载，实际却刻意阉割、店大欺客。如果你是习惯使用简体中文的海外旅行者，请直接避雷这家公司，出门右转使用 Booking 或 Agoda，在这里你得不到任何作为消费者的基本尊重！

Put flight tracking on home page!
The app itself is fine to use, the addition of social media type features was unnecessary but all apps in China do it I guess…the ‘dynamic pricing’ for airline tickets is BS and should be banned! Also can you pleeease put the flight tracking button somewhere on home page? It’s a very useful feature and should be instantly accessible.

Poor customer service
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Trip.com.
I accidentally booked an AirAsia flight for the wrong year while trying to purchase an urgent flight for my father. I realized the mistake almost immediately and contacted Trip.com within about an hour of making the booking.
I was not asking to cancel a trip that I no longer wanted. This was an honest booking error that I reported right away. Despite this, my refund request was denied, and the alternatives offered were unreasonable.
What shocked me most was that when I asked about changing the ticket, I was quoted more than 6,335 THB in additional charges to correct a booking that originally cost me around 4,015 THB. Paying more than the value of the original ticket simply to fix an obvious mistake made no sense and felt completely unfair.
Throughout the process, customer service provided little meaningful assistance. I spent time explaining the situation and asking for help, but received mostly scripted responses and no practical solution. There seemed to be no willingness to consider the fact that the mistake was reported almost immediately after booking.
I understand that companies have policies, but there should be some level of flexibility and common sense when a customer reports an obvious error within an hour of purchase. Instead, I was left with the feeling that customer support was focused on enforcing rules rather than helping customers.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Trip.com. Based on how my case was handled, I would strongly encourage others to be extremely careful when booking through this platform, because if you make a simple mistake, you may find yourself paying far more than expected with very little support.
