About

PEGI 3
Mine, craft, trade and battle across a living galaxy. Offline idle space RPG.
DRIFTBOUND - command your ship, build your fortune, and drift ever deeper into a living galaxy. Driftbound is a relaxing idle / incremental space RPG. Pilot a single ship through a vast procedural universe - mining, crafting, trading and fighting your way from the safe core worlds out to the lawless rim. Progress never stops: the simulation keeps running while you're away, so every time you return your holds are fuller and your credits have grown. Buy it once and play. No ads, no pay-to-win, no subscriptions, no account required - just you, your ship, and the long haul. ▶ THE LOOP • Mine asteroid belts, harvest gas clouds, refine ore and fabricate components. • Scan deep space to uncover hidden anomalies and rare salvage. • Buy low and sell high across a simulated, station-local economy where distance creates real trade routes. • Take haul contracts and bounty work from the bulletin board. ▶ UPGRADE YOUR SHIP • Fit six module slots — engine, cargo, mining laser, weapons, missiles and shields. • Multiple module tiers, a perk tree, and rare gear earned far out in the deep. • Every upgrade earns faster — the classic idle engine of "earn → upgrade → earn faster." ▶ EXPLORE A HIERARCHICAL UNIVERSE • Galaxies → systems → bodies, all procedurally generated and seeded. • Plot courses across a gate network; autopilot flies the multi-hop route — even offline. • Security ratings fall the deeper you push: more danger, far better loot. ▶ FIGHT PIRATES • Idle ship-to-ship combat with shields, weapons, missiles and auto-engaging batteries. • Resolves fairly whether you're watching live or away — no nasty surprises. ▶ COLLECT & RAISE SPACE PETS • Hatch rare eggs in a station incubator — incubation runs in real time, even while you're away. • Equip a companion for a powerful buff; rarer species trade higher highs for sharper trade-offs. • Feed your pet to level it up, and trade and collect across Space Farms. • Your pets stay with you — they carry through prestige. ▶ STASH, CRAFT & STARDUST • Bank overflow cargo in a Subspace Cache that keeps storing for you while you're offline. • Craft your own weapons and gear at the Workbench from the materials you gather. • Earn Stardust over time to rush hatches, skip warp cooldowns and more. ▶ A GALAXY WITH A STORY • Follow the main story campaign plus five faction questlines and side chains. • Earn pilot ranks, fill a persistent Codex, claim daily rewards and ride weekly galaxy-wide events. ▶ PRESTIGE & THE LONG GAME • Re-enlist to bank Renown and spend it at the Admiralty on fleet-wide perks that carry across every future run. ▶ BUILT FOR IDLE • True offline progression using the exact same logic as live play — return to a meaningful "welcome back" summary. • A single active action, a fixed-tick simulation: deterministic, offline-safe and fair. • Crisp pixel-art ships, worlds and stations; a calm cockpit-HUD interface. • Playable in 8 languages. Strap in, pilot. The drift is calling.

Update: The game was updated with the ability to cancled jobs just hours after I posted. ^-^ Pretty good with some small oversights. I picked up a Job when I started the game to mine plasma. You can only have 4 active Jobs and you can't cancel jobs. I needed a gas mining level of 10 to get Plasma, this resulted in me being stuck with a job I couldn't do for several days.

Great fun! Plus a very active and responsive developer. New features roll out all the time, adding new gameplay and loops!
★★★★★positiveAsh · 2026-08-13 · v1.3.2
A fun game with a lot of promise and depth, with a dev that clearly cares a lot! If you have any issues or ideas, the dev will respond quickly and work with you to improve the game. Plus, it's a breath of fresh air to have an incremental game that isn't filled to the gills with ads. Even if you are not interested right now, watch this space! (no pun intended)
★★★★★positiveMichael H · 2026-08-11 · v1.3.2
one of the best idle/incremental games in awhile. Sure it doesn't look like much but it's got so much going for it. I hope to look forward to a future with more ships, crafting and of course cooler outfits 😅 Also the dev is amazingly responsive and wonderful. If I could give an extra star for that I would.

Thank you for the update. I hope I'm not asking too much, but crafting is an inconvenience for me because I can't tell how many materials I have stored in my cargo/vault when I try to upgrade parts of a ship. It would be helpful to somehow track materials more easily. I also have a question: when selling at the best location, is there a limit to getting the best price, or do I get the best price the whole time I'm at that location? Or does it change when I switch tabs?
★★★★★positivePatrick “Gaia” · 2026-08-06 · v1.2.15
Absolute hidden gem! The pixel art and soundtrack give off heavy 90s arcade vibes. What sets this apart from typical idle games is the insane depth: it features a real perk system, engaging missions, and actual combat animations instead of boring text logs. It feels like a fully fleshed-out RPG in an idle format and never gets boring. You can tell how much love went into this project. If you want a game with real substance, this is it! Highly recommended.

5* Response-time!! dev-reply resolved my issue :) App launched in mandarin Chinese and I am unsure where to change the settings without a gear icon 😅 I can sort my way w/ rudimentary language skills from there but others may not be so lucky 🫡
★★★★★positiveAi Grape · 2026-08-05
I don't know why, after accumulated like 1000+ cargo, it become very laggy, and take minutes to open the Cargo. Minutes!
★★★★★positiveMatthew Peckham · 2026-08-04 · v1.2.14
An interesting take on a semi-idle game, and is showing real promise! Lots to see and do, I really feel like a ship captain. The developer is extremely responsive on both Reviews and the Subreddit, and has implemented lots of improvements since it's initial release.
★★★★★positiveDaniel Wheeler · 2026-08-01 · v1.2.12
I asked for bigger font options and literally got it on the same day. developer is super nice and listens to feedback. i would give 6 stars if I could. I've never had a complaint fixed in one day. I really hope this branches out and just doesn't die in the app store. We need more developers like you my friend. The huge font improved my game alot now I can read everything. The app store needs more of this. Thanx again dev. Hope your game does well. you deserve it.
★★★★★positiveAnthony A · 2026-07-31 · v1.2.11
This is a clear passion project for this developer. They are engaged with the players on Reddit and incorporating their feedback. The game itself takes a little getting used to, there are a lot of screens. But the systems in place are truly interesting and the benefits to being offline make this a game you can really pick up whenever.
★★★★★positiveJim · 2026-07-27 · v1.2.10
It's like pixel EVE meets incremental & the combination is perfect! Best game I have found in a long time.
★★★★★positiveChris Cardus · 2026-07-24 · v1.2.8
Great game, I'm really enjoying it so far. The idle mechanics are very well balanced, so the wait times never feel frustrating, and you get plenty of currency that lets you speed up waits when you need to. Best Android game I've played in a long time.

fantastic game well worth the small price 👌🏻
★★★★★positiveJeremie Landry · 2026-07-15 · v1.2.3
An interesting idle space RPG with a lot of potential from a great and responsive developer. The game is complex enough to keep things interesting, while not so complex that it remains accessible. The game also respects the player's time, and I enjoy the overall aesthetics of the game.
★★★★positiveEvelyn Sigourney (PerilousPixie) · 2026-07-13 · v1.2.3
deeply unfinished. the online feature is also exaggerated slightly - bots will follow you pretending to be players, these bots are present no matter what station you warp to. it wouldn't be bad if they didn't ping you for duels every 5s. there is also no desc difference between useless items/sell-only items, and items that you really should keep. many nodes you can travel to are cookie cutter autofill names with nothing going on, and just a standard 'unknown signal'. good for about 4 hours.
★★★★★positiveMentions pricingAlex Baker · 2026-07-06 · v1.2.0
Great game, absolutely no complaints. You pay a few pounds at the point of entry and that is all, No p2w, no pay to progress. Just a gold old fashioned game with a great dev.
★★★★★positiveEmma Bartlett · 2026-07-04 · v1.2.0
love this game really fun
★★★★★positiveJonathan · 2026-07-01 · v1.1.1
Game is not well translated at all, Impossible to play at this time unless you speak that language. Couldn't find options to change localization. Edit: After the update was fix, I was able to get in. Enjoying the game a lot.
