I used to spend $500 a month on the game because I couldn't play any other way. But I'm quitting because of the Battle for Light competition! Until this competition continues or Light achievements are available for purchase, I definitely won't be coming back!

I have played this game almost daily over the last eight years. While it is like many “freemium” games which offers significant playing advantages to high spenders, over the last six months, they have accelerated this, including altering internal competitions to significantly disadvantage players who do not spend liberally. IMO the game developer has recently made a change that appears to want to drive low/no spending players out of the game entirely. While elements of the game have been fun over the past few years, I can only recommend this game for highly competitive people who do not mind spending hundreds, if not more per month to achieve high status.

My next entry: they just broke the game and are again, lying about it! They added a new feature Monster Generator (which allows the player to create an invader or ghost on their own.) I believe this feature was introduced without adequate testing because now, no resource lairs are produced when killing ghosts or invaders. These resource locations are the literal lifeblood of the gameplay. When I reported the bug I was told by support that it is the new design change, but other kingdoms are still today posting results showing that their’s are working as expected. Support is lying and not escalating the Fatal Bug! > > > My original honest review (below the line) just got a reply from the developer. They said, “Thanks for the review. We'rewaiting for your feedback.” Well, it would seem to me that they’ve already got my feedback. Although my negative review may have gotten their attention briefly, it is highly unlikely anything different will be done this time - but, I will send a copy of my previously ignored complaint to the address they provided to see. I will update with any positive changes... If there is no update - then it just means my recommendation given here stands. ------------------------------------------- After year's of frustrating play, where other players don't honor their agreements, I’d finally accepted that players with bad attitude were just a part of the game I was going to have to accept. What has finally, after several years, led me to post this review has been the consistently bad attitude, Service (servers continually going down, server lag causing one to miss plays or get killed, etc.), and dealing with a company that is fully incapable of even the slightest understanding of what the word Support means. I know a little about the software/server Quality & Support issues, how difficult it can be, and what constitutes “Good Support” having been a Director of Software Quality Assurance for a gaming company, and Director of Engineering Services (which included QA; Technical Support, Training, & Publications; and Release Engineering). I can say, without reservation, that for the money required for you to effectively play at the higher levels (and if you want to quickly succeed at the lower levels) this has to be some of the worst support I have ever received. After several years, I have finally determined (after this final fiasco) that I will play out the value of my accounts, and never again play again afterwards. Waiting for several days for the delivery of crucial purchased resources within the game, being charged for those undelivered items accompanied by a refusal to refund the money, having those items then credited to the wrong account... I am done with it! I was a fool to continue playing. My advice: Don't be a fool and don’t start playing this game in the first place.

I agree with the review that StarsNite said and TOTALLY DISAGREE with the response he got.. the game is all about the money..I can’t even upgrade knowledge to enable me to train Tier IX troops.. that makes the game sucks

I have played Vikings since before Aristocrat mobile and MTG owned Plarium from 2015 to present day. I wanted to dial in a few facts supporting the 1 star review. 1. Plariums customer support absolutely sucks and they are 1000% copy paste responses and beat around the bush that never helps your issue. 2. Literally a 1/4 of the in-town screen is bank offers. Floating majorly around $10-100. If that doesn’t speak volumes, I don’t know what else to say. 3. The game is pay to play, I have wasted thousands on this game of the course of 11 years. 4. The game is no longer fun for numerous reasons. The updates are non stop. You cannot keep up with the updates no matter your play strategy without paying approximately $200-500 per update depending on significance. 5. Constant lagging 6. Any legendary event is already owned by whales who are suspected to be handicapped with money to spend and they absolutely will not give up.

Unfortunately, all the fun in this game has gone for 90% of the community and the developers will not listen. They just keep adding updates and catering to the players that spend money and I’m not talking small amount of money. You have to spend a huge amount of money to keep up in this game. I personally am slowing down and not playing as much because it is not fun anymore. If they could just stop the updates and let the players enjoy the game or maybe listen to the English community suggestions instead of only a select few that would be great, but unfortunately, like I said, the developers are out of touch and don’t care what the community thinks it’s all about spending for bank packs to keep up these days.

Now I wouldn’t mind spending $50 on a cheeky little phone game, if it would benefit you. I’ve done that on previous games and after a month of playing them I was placing top 10 on the server in troop kills events, etc. This game is not that type of game. The devs are more racketeers than software developers. Spend gold to unlock top tier troops, then spend gold to train them. Then they’re completely useless, unless you complete all the knowledge associated with them. The only reason I still play this game is to see the hero attack animation when you attack Norther Vultures.

Bad support team , their lazy and biased and lazy at their jobs

The game consists of more money and hitting buttons all day long, the game was alright form the beginning until you start to realize how much money you have wasted and time

This game has increasingly become pay-to-win. To progress at a competitive level and keep pace with other players, it requires spending at least $100 per month. After more than 6 years playing I observed that the game’s monetization model has only intensified over time, making it less enjoyable for long term players. Based on my experience, I would NOT RECOMMEND starting this game.

Unfortunately the only wat to succeed in this game is to spend thousands and thousands of dollars it’s insane

Ive really enjoyed this game so far ive been playing for about 4 years my dad 10 but the latest updates make it impossible for me or my dad to stand a chance in events please fix the game plarium

I don’t know what the fuss is about but I like this game

I enjoyed this game a for a long time. Gradually the price to pay and grow climbed. Recently the cost has become unrealistic, i find I must buy a pack to achieve minimal success or any growth at all. The game used to give compensation after updates but they removed that as they likewise continually adjust the competitions awarding fewer meaningless prizes and making the checkpoints impossibly harder. I think this will be the end of the game. The developer chose to send me a reply to my review, basically stating I could buy more pixels to be successful or I could unite with a clan so I can carry the nonpaying but still playing deadbeats along - aka NR. The review stands its war of wallets- its not a surprise that its pay to play - what has changed is the lack of rewards and unbridled greediness of the developer .

Kingdom 794 ran out of pile 9s in less then two days but other kingdoms are still producing pile 9 why an we are not

It used to be a great game. There was hope that the new owner would make it better. But it’s gotten worse Full of bugs. New features introduced w more bugs. Rather than delivering on the promises they made The latest is a new contest they introduced. Tasks unknown. Only the clan chief can acore. Waste of time Don’t get started

I had rated this game a 5 for the last 10 years I have played, never expected to win against those that pay. It was still fun to close the events and help those in my clan close clan events. However, with the recent update, it is impossible to close out personal events for level 37 or 39 towns without paying. Level 40 towns have always been impossible from a town I was gifted, but I was careful not to upgrade past 39 on my main account. I am considering quitting as many others have already. Runes and new uber chiefs are worthless even to those that pay. Have added more Ubers but reduced level 1-6 invaders, why?Now all the Ubers are gone with those that pay and enhance hit and nothing for free play. Fix this before it is too late Plarium.

If you don't want to constantly spend money, then you won't enjoy this scam of a game! Even if you do spend money to participate, or heaps of money to stay competitive, as soon as there are any issues the "support" team (they must be using the term support ironically) dismisses you concerns with no recourse. If you have a pay to play game model , at least provide a basic level of support for your paying customers. Beware of these rip off artists!

Okay so my game isn’t loading because of some connection error and my shield is going to become in active and I’m going to lose everything. And platinum is going to say tooo band . It’s happened before

Game has hackers, also if your not a big spender you won’t enjoy it. You will not be able to compete in anything.
