theres so much i could say that i dont even know where to start. if you want to know whats going on you can find a lot online it wont be hard. but the new compamy that bought pokemon go “Scopley” has tanked this game theyve scammed thier customers gone behind our backs and single handedly are ruining this game every further every day. a game that costs as much money as most people spend on pokemon go should treat thier consumers much much better lets start with getting balloon back while were at it

Greedy but fun
There’s some good game in here and I’ve been playing since its release in 2016. But the dev team has gotten greedier and greedier over the years. Especially since they were bought out by Scopely. For example, the rare Pokemon variants known as “shinies” are usually easier to find during special events. They have now started putting those behind a paywall where you pay $10 - $15 for the same result that used to be free. The quality of content has been going down recently too. They had a big Festival event happen the other week. Lots of paywall options and but with nothing new to catch. Just a little disappointing. They have now resorted to new events every few weeks that ask you to pay $5 - $15 for extra bonuses. It has begun to feel very scummy and I know the player base morale is low. There’s a good game buried in here somewhere behind the payment screen.

Rigged unless you live in a city or big town
So I'm already level 34 and I have basically 0 good pokemon because I can't do battles bc I can never get heals bc there are barley any stops anywhere near me and I can't do raids bc I have bad pokemon and I can't do research because I have literally nothing in my area. So basically unless you live in a city, the game just isn't fun for you.

Nostalgia ruined by a greedy company only looking to make money and doesn’t care about their player base. Everything is a cost with nothing in return. They Took Everything From Us!
This game used to be awesome, free missions you can complete at any time, free daily currency, and cheap “remote raid passes” to get cool Pokémon’s without local community. Now this game is all paid monthly passes, no missions and if there is you need to pay real world money for them, events that all use the “fear of missing out” tactic. This game is all a money grab now, they are hurting all the reasons that made this game a great casual experience.

Scopely Just Making it Worse
The changes that have been made lately are stupid. They’re taking away the incentives to play, not giving more. They might be giving reasons to go out and map more of the real world on their behalf, but this game is clearly gearing itself towards further paywalling with overpriced research, lowering grunt balloon rates. I still get upset over just how limiting it is to send pokemon to Home. Why do I have to be locked into sending so FEW of my shinies at a time? Does it matter if I can send more at once? In fact, if it weren’t for the ability to send them to Home for sending to console games, I wouldn’t even keep playing this. And I probably won’t when I get everything worthwhile transferred… in 2032.

Game has become money grabbing
I've been a day one player and holy the amount of stuff that is now pay to play just to have "fun" has gone too far. Scopely taking over has become the worst decision ever for this game. Go pass isn't enough they have to have deluxe go pass. Events that used to be about bringing a community of people to enjoy the game has now become hunting for a shundo with a background with raid passes and remote raid passes. I used to enjoy this game a lot more but now it's become draining.

What are we even doing?
Reduced Rocket balloon spawns is such an unwanted change. There has been no reason to take that away, no reason to remove Giovanni from balloons either. The game is less and less enjoyable with each change. I had a couple of purchases planned today but getting confirmation they’re taking away more points of interaction from the game has kept my money in my wallet.

Love this game!
I am absolutely obsessed with Pokemon Go! It’s awesome and I play it every day. The only thing I would say is maybe make the AR a little better quality and do more things with the AR like actually looking for Pokemon? Other than that, Pokemon Go is awesome.
