💡 Important Note:
Not all dogs respond the same way to high-frequency sounds. For best results, use responsibly and observe your dog's reaction closely.
High frequency sounds (ultrasonic whistles) played between 18–20 kHz may attract the attention of some dogs, disturb them or change their behavior for a short time. However, this does not always mean that they will stop barking.
1. How Does It Work?
Dogs can hear sounds up to 40–60 kHz.
18–20 kHz sounds are above our hearing limit but are generally perceptible to dogs.
These sounds can surprise, distract or disturb some dogs, which can cause them to stop barking.
2. Does It Have the Same Effect on Every Dog?
No. The effect:
Depends on the dog's age (older dogs may have difficulty hearing high frequencies),
Breed (some breeds are more sensitive),
Training history and character.
3. Ethical
Using this sound continuously or at high intensity:
Can cause stress, fear or hearing damage to the dog.
For this reason, it is recommended to use it for a short time and under control.
In some dogs, a whistle sound of 18–20 kHz can temporarily stop barking, but it is not a guaranteed solution. In addition, training and positive reinforcement to solve general behavioral problems in dogs offer more permanent solutions.
