Save Yourself
ONE STAR: Spend a Fortune or Become Food for the Whales Do not start playing Evony unless you are prepared to spend tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. The game convinces you that smaller purchases are building lasting progress, but the goalposts continually move. New upgrades, inflated power levels, supposedly “limited-time” deals, and increasingly expensive requirements ensure that whatever you spend is never enough. I have spent thousands of dollars and years building my account and friendships. Now Top Games is merging our 1008th-ranked war server with the 90th-ranked war server, a Bubble or Burn server whose strongest players are two to five times our size. That is not balance. It is handing a weaker community to massive spenders for target practice. Unless you can maintain whale-level spending and remain bubbled around the clock, your account will eventually become food for players who can outspend you. Top Games can change the competitive environment at any time and render years of spending effectively worthless. The friendships may be real, but the “investment” is not. If you are unwilling to spend the price of a car or, for some players, a house, every $5, $20, and $100 purchase is simply another step toward flushing your money down the Top Games toilet. Find another game before you become financially and socially invested in this one.

Scammers
The developers of this app knowingly include glitches that hamper your development in order to entice you to spend more. Every new server comes with the same glitches, and customer service just plays dumb when you complain about it. When you do have actual connectivity issues, customer support offers chat bots to apologize, but no actual help. This app should be outlawed, it’s so very, very corrupt on multiple levels.

Good, Bad, Ugly
The initial gameplay itself is good, the player community is hit or miss depending on the server. The third party add ons make it bad for an honest player. Even though terms of service prohibit them you will not do well in later game stages. The pay walls are ugly and required to be competitive. The in game bugs are constant and requirements for customer service assistance are a nightmare. Like Joshua said, the only way to win is not to play!

Fun if you have the money
I play for free and there’s no way to catch up with paying gamers. The servers eventually gets to one or two alliances with crazy attitudes and everyone stays bubbled because of the egos and paying people can zero you in one hit. It was fun at first but now it’s a drama field of two alliance server with everything just repeating daily. Same thing everyday same people everyday and Evony just wants your money..

Downloaded the app to find that the game was nothing like it was advertised. Not to mention one of the advertising videos used AI, which is already a controversial topic and when used in marketing shows the poor representation of this game. I hope i find a game as in the advertising, something simple, easy and fun to play. Not whatever this is.

If you can drop $10,000 a month on this game, you could actually be a strong player/fighter in about a year and a half, maybe two years. Unfortunately, you also have to be able to put up with extreme vulgar language, insults, threats, and a horrible customer service. Stay away
After a few years of playing I can say this with knowledge and experience. Unless you’re into R rated games that are going in the direction of becoming an X rated game, stay away. If you don’t like vulgar language, arguments and real life threats, stay away . If you want good customer service, you won’t find it here. If you want to play a good game, it isn’t this one. There are so many other games, do yourself a favor and stay away. I know you will regret it. I’ve really only scratched the surface here, it’s so much worse in reality. Please, stay away.

Evony customer service is nonexistent. They will never fix a problem. They will never compensate you for your loses in game . Evony will only reply with automated messages. Evony only caters to people who spend thousands of dollars every week. Evony does not care about its players/customers. Do not download this game. The only way to achieve anything is by spending big money. You will never be able to compete because match making is unfair. You will never u lock the things necessary to advance because it takes lots of money. Evony will only rip you off. I only give give it one star because I can’t give it zero. I’m a K43 with 13.5 billion power zeroed because of glitches they say it’s my fault. They take away VIP points and tell me nothing they can due. This game is a joke

I had this game for years and it was nothing like the ad finally I just deleted it because I never got what the ad said I would. If I remember correctly false advertising is illegal.
