Was great
Recent update made everything overpowered damage sponges. Gameplay feels slow and unrewarding, now. May update review if something changes but as of now game’s been dropped for other things.

Unexpected
Had no idea what to expect from this game. I bought it on a whim, now Ive been playing almost daily, and bought the expansion pass already. The Devs seem very passionate about their game and frequently communicate with their players. Overall, the quality of the product is very high, and the asking price is generous for the amount of playtime you'll get.

Too Complex to Enjoy
I bought this game because it was highly rated, and since it costs money, I expected a more polished experience. Instead, most of what I paid for seems to be the complexity of the systems rather than enjoyable gameplay. It feels like a tabletop RPG translated into a game, but without doing much to help new players understand it. The game is confusing and relies way too much on trial and error. It doesn’t explain things well, and the menus aren’t very intuitive. There are also a lot of small quality of life issues that add up. For example, the tiny level-up arrow in the Essence Chamber is easy to miss. Managing parties is also frustrating like if I remove a monster from my party, it also gets removed from my dungeon, and it’s not obvious that I have to go back into a different menu to place it again. Little things like that constantly interrupt the flow. At this point, I don’t even know what monsters I’m placing in my dungeon anymore. Whenever I unlock a new one, I just hit “Reset” and use the auto-deploy option because it’s easier than trying to understand the system. A game built around collecting and managing monsters should make me want to think about my choices, not make me avoid the mechanic altogether. The one thing I genuinely liked was the sense of progression. It always felt like I was unlocking something new, which kept me playing longer than I probably would have otherwise. But the individual runs are very long, and after a while it started to feel like I was just chasing bigger numbers instead of making meaningful decisions. The progression kept my attention, but the gameplay itself never really clicked for me. None of these problems seem like they’d be difficult to fix, but together they made it hard for me to enjoy the game. I can tell there’s depth here, but the game does a poor job of making that depth approachable.

You dont do much…
The sprites are cool, definitely a lot of fan service but I don’t mind. My issue is that the only action you take in the game is deploying the monsters but you can simply use the auto deploy button. So you don’t fight, or plan. I kept choosing high star monsters but felt bored after playing for less than an hour. I was pretty excited about the game but will probably play again.
★★★★★positiveNocturneOfSolace · 2026-06-26 · v0.4.2
Excellent, but i have a complaint
The game is much more mechanically deep than i expected to my delight, i dunno how i feel about all the fan service(i just don’t see why there couldn’t be male monsters and enemies and why every woman has to be dressed so…you know) my complaint is this, it’s incredibly frustrating when you hit the later stages and the rewards keep giving you tier 1-2 monsters, like at that point if im at stage 5, can i have tier 3 minimum?

Unplayable
Game is unplayable for me, stuck on “initializing platform account”, tried deleting and reinstalling but same problem

Actually just a solid little defense game
Passed it up at first because it was just all booby ladies but a friend got me to try it and its honestly a fun dungeon defense game. Try it!
★★★★★neutralMarble Drop · 2026-06-17 · v0.4.2
Short on content
Even for a rouge lite it’s a little too repetitive the pacing is slow and I feel like I don’t really even do much input in the game just watch the battle play out. The artwork and sprites are really good but come on does everything need to be gooner material very few male or actual monster characters. The music was okay but it also doesn’t really have story. I kinda wish you could play it portrait mode rather than landscape just rotate the playfield.

Solid game! But the UX leaves a lot to be desired.
Been playing this as my Commuter game for about a week or so now. Was initially turned off by the lack of tutorial and being overwhelmed by information, but after a run or two it succeeds in being intuitive enough to understand. Having a prior understanding of D20 systems and D&D helps a lot as it adapts a lot of concepts from them. The art is well made for what it is, the progression during an individual run has a satisfying arc and there’s clearly a lot more than what surface level I’ve experienced so far. However, my biggest gripes lies with the game’s readability as it directly ties to how battles playing out feeling way less in your control than I’d like. The lack things like battle log info, no hover over tooltips or real sign of saving throws or effects otherwise happening makes battles feel muddled and samey between runs. The choice of monsters and the combos I try to make feels Insubstantial because of this. For example, I try to combo monsters that cause fear effects with those that combo with Said fear effects or psychic damage… but as the battle plays out I couldn’t tell you if they’re actually activating or what. The enemies die as I spam my lord abilities and my units trade with enemies weaken by the trapped rooms. I love a good auto battler, but the satisfaction of being able to parse how strategically crafted compositions are winning the day is lacking in this game.

Keeps getting better
These developers really love their IP. The fact that they making the same game but better is what we need for mobile games. 10/10 can’t wait to see where this go.
★★★★positivecennix0 · 2026-06-10 · v0.4.2
no tutorial
this game looks awesome but the lack of a tutorial for such a complex game is baffling

Excellent gameplay
If you liked Dungeon Squad you will like this game too. It is a completely different kind of game but it keeps the same aesthetic and themes. Figuring out how it all works is half the game and I’m having a blast trying to understand what works best. Well worth the price.

★★★★★positiveDrogonist · 2026-06-02 · v0.3.6
Honest good Dungeon Game
The core of this game comes from the fact you have to juggle the traps and the monster rooms at a fair balance of RTS and cycling enemy units in those rooms

Amazing
I randomly bumped into this game and decided to give it a chance. Absolutely blown away by how entertaining it is and the replayability. Huge amounts of potential and I hope the devs keep expanding the game with new monsters, lords etc.
★★★★★neutralGlassCup · 2026-05-23 · v0.3.5
Cloud Data Error
There seems to be an issue with the cloud data not working. Some players even mention it in the discord but there isn’t a fix. You cannot access your save for other devices or even recover your save if your device is lost. Overall I am having fun with the game but your saved data needs to be addressed.
★★★★★positiveWaffleFlops · 2026-05-22 · v0.3.5
Good!
Basically Dungeon Squad combined with Dungeon Maker. Not a bad thing at all. Early in the game for me still but seems fun so far!

Another solid entry in the Dungeon Maker series
Monster girls have returned and they're better than ever. This is more of a return to form with Dungeon Maker compared to the previous entry Dungeon Squad. It takes a lot of inspiration from DnD for mechanics but not in a bad way. Per usual, it's quite complex but as the game is still new I'm keeping an open mind and I managed to clear on my first attempt so it's not that bad. Definitely pick it up if you liked Dungeon Maker!

It’s like a surprise birthday party
Seriously- the devs behind these games are awesome, all their games are bangers, pure hours of enjoyment on iOS- highly recommend and the price tag on this one is well worth it, you’ll easily get 40+ hours of gameplay out of this if not more.

Love the heart!
As this is really early in development this has solid bones and I’m a fan Dungeon Squad so I think it’s going to be as good or better! Here comes the bossy gamer that know little to no programming I would love to see a Dark Lord that is based on traps like a construct, circus or machine and monsters with high AC that can sit on the and give buffs but can only be one or has to be broke down to move passed, second animation to Ultimate Skills that feel hefty right know it feels like a puff instead of a BANG and for how game saving it is doesn’t do it justice. Best wishes guys!

fav devs <3
i'm about to reach trial 10 &decided to buy the preorder for season passes too! as long as the devs keep their focus on putting out quality games (aka not trying to figure out the best way to rinse their players for money like almost everyone else) then people like myself will happily continue being fans &supporting whatever projects they put out!! keep up the good work &am looking forward to the updates <3 great game would totally recommend to anyone thinking about buying it
