Children of Morta is a story-driven action RPG with a roguelite approach to character development, in which you don’t play a single character but a whole, extraordinary family of heroes. 

Hack’n’slash through hordes of enemies in procedurally generated dungeons, caves and lands and lead the Bergson family, with all their flaws and virtues, against the forthcoming Corruption. The story takes place in a distant land but copes with themes and emotions common to all of us: love and hope, longing and uncertainty, ultimately loss... and sacrifice we are willing to make to save the ones we care the most for. 
Ultimately, it's about a family of heroes standing together against the encroaching darkness.

Way too many crashes on iPhone Xs; Fun game

The story and the game are great. However, this game should not be listed as compatible with the iPhone XS — the game crashes far too often, not like an occasional thing, but pretty much garuanteed to crash a couple times if you try multiple runs through the second and third caves found in the first main level. Sigh. So frustrating to lose 15-25minutes of work. The experience goes completely counter to what gaming like this is supposed to be, fun. The developers or Apple should change the device requirements or the devs should update the game to be more compatible. Sincerely, if it weren’t for the constant crashing, I’d give the game 5 stars.  As it is, probably going to have to wait until I upgrade my phone to play this.

Please fix offline play

When trying to play without internet connection this game hangs for me at 30% of the main loading bar. I should be able to play offline in airplane mode but I can’t because it gets stuck on the loading screen. Otherwise, I’m really enjoying the game.

Great game, crashes too much.

I played this on Xbox a while ago and so I decided to get it on my phone. For some reason it likes to crash during loading screens, between floors or after death, losing all progress. I see this is a common complaint among reviewers with no replies from the developers. Please fix this issue. Loading bar acts weird too, gets to the last 10% or so and likes to back up a couple of notches then load..or crash. Thanks.

It’s good but….the controls, whew

Game is good but the controls make it 50/50 as in terms of fun. U can’t move like you need to. The move stick acts more like a d pad then a directional joystick and the attack often attacks backwards before attacking in the chosen direction. Each time I lift my thumb up an down I have to pretty much reset whatever move or strategy I was opting for. Good but the controls need to be tighter and more responsive ESPECIALLY with the types and speed of enemies

Want to love, if it’d let me play long enough to…

Loved this one console and was sooo excited for it to come to mobile! Had just as much of a blast progressing through until the crashes just became an inevitable issue that stops me from being able to enjoy the rest of the game. 

Thought it was an issue that would be resolved by now, over a year later but unfortunately we’re still here :/ guess I’ll be putting it back down for another 6+ months and hope it finally gets figured out! 🫠❤️‍🩹

Amazing Game! But Please Fix the Crashing of It!!!

I’d be giving this game a five star review!… but unfortunately it crashes after playing for about an hour making the Family Trials mode completely unplayable.

Not perfect, but still enjoyable

Controls are easy enough. I enjoy the fact that every character plays very differently, although some levels are far better suited for ranged characters vs melee and vice versa.

Biggest glaring issue I’ve had is ever since unlocking the third stage, no matter what, the game will crash partway through my run. Which essentially makes the game unbeatable.

I’d love to try again after that issue is resolved, otherwise it feels like an incomplete demo that I still had to pay for.
